Ruby on Rails Developer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and deploy production-ready web applications and prototypes with Ruby on Rails. Support and maintain client web applications and new applications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of using an MVC web framework (Ruby on Rails / Django)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of web applications development using an Open Source Language (Ruby, Python)
  • Willingness to learn Ruby
  • Experience with HAML and SASS
  • Experience with GIT and github for version control
  • Experience with HTML / CSS Slicing [aka. Integrator]
  • Experience with using Devise for authentication
  • TDD Experience (rspec, cucumber)
  • Experience with writing and using Javascript for AJAX and client-side behaviors. e.g jQuery and writing from scratch.
  • Deploying Ruby Applications. (Heroku // Passenger // Moonshine)
  • Well-rounded knowledge of database designs and MySQL
  • Bonus for experience with MongoDB.
